How did you to decide to major in Spanish at Williams?

Loved the course options. Spanish seemed like it would be a useful skill.

What are some of your favorite memories of classes, readings, professors, or study abroad experiences?

I enjoyed taking grammar classes with Bell-Villada, and his class exploring literature written by Garcia Marquez and other Latin American authors. Also really enjoyed Professor French class exploring Borges and Fox’s winter study class; cooking with Don Quijote.

How did majoring in Spanish help prepare you for what you do now?

I’m one of three people on my unit who can communicate with Spanish speaking patients. That’s been extremely rewarding to help convey pertinent information to families in distress.
