Revolución in Williamstown

More than 150 students and community members flooded Images Cinema for the screening of Revolución. Expectations were high and the excitement was palpable as we journeyed through ten shorts on contemporary Mexico as seen by ten Latin American directors. Their collective tribute to the spirit of the Mexican Revolution was a perfect way to mark its hundredth anniversary. For Professor Nicholas Goodbody, the motivating force behind the screening, the film was a perfect compliment to his class, “(Re) writing the Mexican Revolution.” “I was so glad that my students had the opportunity to see that the literary debate over the nature and legacy of the Mexican Revolution, which has been the center of our course, continues quite literally to the present day.”
