Ten Years in the East: Photographs from Russia and Ukraine

photographs-russiaSasha Rudensky, Assistant Professor of Art – Photography at Wesleyan University, will present and speak about her work, which focuses on post-communist Eastern Europe. Rudensky’s practice is concerned with understanding the meaning of place as a physical manifestation and reflection of cultural identity, and her photographs trace the loss and recasting of national character that has defined the region’s history for the last twenty years.
