Williams students have a knack for Arabic Calligraphy!

On Thursday, September 30th, students learned more about the art of Arabic Calligraphy and its different styles. They showed off a natural ability to write using this style and as soon as the first workshop was over, they were asking when the next one will be! Well, the answer is November 18th. Arabic Wedding

On October 28, the Arabic department organized an Arab wedding experience for Williams students. There was music, Henna tattoos, food and drinks. Students had a chance to show off their Arab dance moves and were introduced to authentic Arab wedding customs from Lebanon and Morocco and we even had our very own "bride and groom" for demonstration. The first event of the Chinese Club for 2021/22, "Milk Tea Party", was successfully held on October 27. We're amazed by the power of milk tea -- it connects us with CHIN students outside the classroom, and provides a precious opportunity to meet many non-CHIN students who are interested in East Asian culture! Thank you everyone who joined our Casino Night on 10/26 and made our first joint event for the semester so memorable! The students tried out various card games such as Durak, Schafkopf or Schnapsen and - to our surprise - picked them up rather quickly!
